International Implant Association Awards Dr. Peter Louie with Fellow Status
Los Angeles, CA -- The International Dental Implant Association, an alumni organization for influential clinicians who are have attended Implant Seminars dental continuing education programs with world renowned Arun K. Garg D.M.D., today announced that Dr. Louie has recently reached the status of fellow. Fellow status marks the continuation of an exciting journey that indicates to clinicians and patients that the admitted member has achieved excellence in the field of implant dentistry.
Acceptance into the IDIA as a Fellow requires completion of at least 150 continuing education (CE) hours of dental theory training, passing a written examination and successful placement of over 25 dental implants on live patient with hands on training supervised by Dr. Garg and his qualified staff. Dr. Garg and his Implant Dentistry Continuum Education program have provided this training to thousands of dentists for over two decades. The IDIA's annual symposium encourages alumni and other interested clinicians to further their education in implant dentistry. By attending these programs Dr. Louie has received 150 CE hours approved by the Academy of General Dentistry and the IDIA and returns home with an increased knowledge in dental implants.
Founded in 2008, the IDIA has grown to a membership of over 2500 clinician and is an organization that encourages collaboration and communication among dental professionals from all areas of dentistry, with the goal of improving the profession and its practices. The International Dental Implant Association supports professional education to improve dental implant techniques and products as well as increase public awareness concerning the benefits of dental implants.
The IDIA's membership structure is built on four tiers - Member, Fellowship, Mastership and Diplomate, with each level requiring increased credentialing and certification. The announcement of Dr. Louie's Fellowship took place on Friday March 7 at the Hyatt Regency in Los Angeles, CA.
